ITV I’m A Celeb winner Sam Thompson jets back to UK with Pete Wicks and Marvin and Rochelle Humes

I'm A Celebrity 2023 winner Sam Thompson led his fellow camp stars and their loved ones at Brisbane Airport, ready to jet back to the UK just in time for Christmas.

Former Made in Chelsea star Sam, 31, who was crowned King of the Jungle on 10 December, was joined at the airport by his best pal Pete Wicks, 35, who flew out to Australia to support him.

JLS star Marvin Humes, 38, who was close to Sam in the jungle, dressed casually alongside his wife, Rochelle Humes, 34, as they laughed and joked alongside Pete and Sam.

A jubilant Sam threw his arms open wide and beamed as he arrived at the airport in a pair of combat trousers and a printed t-shirt, whilst he donned a backwards cap and tinted glasses.

His BFF Pete wore all black and looked in great spirits, but not seen with him was his rumoured new love interest, Danielle Harold, 31, who appeared on I'm A Celeb with Sam.

Pete and Danielle were seen being very affectionate with each other at The JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa hotel in Australia, which played host to evicted campmates and their families during the airing of I'm A Celeb.

Marvin and Rochelle, who married in 2012, are clearly pleased to be back in each other's company, after spending more than 20 days apart.

Rochelle was there to meet her husband at the end of the I'm A Celeb bridge, when he was the sixth campmate to be evicted.

The pair's three children, Alaia-Mai, 10, Valentina Raine, six, and Blake Hampton, three, are waiting for them at home in London.

YouTuber Nella Rose, 22, was also spotted at the airport, looking comfy in a black unitard, gilet and sneakers as she donned a pair of sunglasses and flashed a wide smile.

No doubt winner Sam is counting down the seconds until he is reunited with his girlfriend of four years, Zara McDermott, who has been cheering him on from London.

After his jungle victory, Sam confirmed to Lorraine Kelly why Zara couldn't join him Down Under – and it was all down to work commitments, as they had no idea if she would still be on Strictly whilst he was in the jungle.

During his chat with Lorraine, Sam was shown a sweet video from Zara expressing how proud she was of him.

Looking visibly touched and emotional, Sam struggled to get his words out, before saying: "That's the sweetest thing.

"I mean, she's sent me many, many sweet messages, but when you see something like that… That's my little goose.

"I miss her so much and I can't wait to get home to her."

He revealed he knows Zara has been sleeping on 'his side' of the bed, whilst he's been in the Australian jungle.

Sam went on to say: "I'm so lucky to have her in my life."

He hilariously shared that "so many people" have asked him how he snared Zara, as he admitted: "I don't know.

"I still sometimes wake up and wonder if she's still there, like 'is it a dream?'"
