Jade Goody’s widow urges Bobby Brazier to lift ‘sad’ Strictly ban on nan Jackiey

Jade Goody’s widow, Jack Tweed, who married Bobby Brazier’s late mum just one month before her tragic death from cervical cancer in 2009, has urged the Strictly star to allow nan Jackiey Budden to watch him perform in the grand final. It comes after Jade’s mum was reportedly “banned” from attending the live BBC shows due to criticism she had aimed at Bobby’s dad, Jeff Brazier.

According to Jack, Jade “would have wanted” her mum to have a seat in the studio audience for the final to watch the EastEnders star and partner Dianne Buswell, 34, compete for the Glitterball Trophy, as Jackiey, 66, has “played a big part in Bobby’s childhood”. He told MailOnline: “I think it’s only right Jackiey can go to the final.

“She has played a big part in Bobby’s childhood. I know it’s what Jade would want. She would want peace and everybody to get along.”

Jackiey is said to have landed herself in hot water with her grandson Bobby, 20, after furiously claiming Jade’s ex and father to her two children, Jeff, has been a “c**k for f****** nine years”. Reports have also suggested that Jackiey hasn’t been permitted to support Bobby from the BBC studios due to a long-running family feud.

Bobby’s nan hasn’t been seen in the Strictly audience since the 2023 series started, but this is something Jack has urged Bobby to reconsider for the final. He added to the publication: “I know Jackiey can be outspoken. She speaks before she thinks and Jade was exactly the same.”

“That will never change and it never has. She is who she is and we all know that.

“But she has an absolute right to be there. It’d be very sad if she isn’t.

“She is Bobby’s nan at the end of the day. Jackiey would not claim and has never claimed to be perfect.”

Jack concluded that reversing the reported “ban” is “the right thing” to do for the family, as it would be “very special” for Jade’s mum to be present on Bobby’s big night.

However, despite encouraging Bobby to allow his nan to watch him dance in the Strictly final, Jack insisted Jade would not have approved of her mum’s scathing comments about Jeff.

Last weekend, Jackiey opened up about missing out on seeing her grandson perform live, telling The Sun on Sunday: “Unfortunately I haven’t seen Bobby live.

“I would have loved to, but it’s just one of those things. I’ve been supporting him from home, watching every moment.”

Bobby and Dianne will compete against fellow Strictly finalists Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin for the Glitterball Trophy in tonight’s final.

The Strictly Come Dancing grand final airs tonight from 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
