Kate Middleton stuns in Princess Diana’s favourite tiara as she arrives at State Banquet for Donald Trump’s visit

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Kate Middleton and Prince William were seen attending the State Banquet on Monday evening.

They are set to join President Donald Trump and the First Lady Melania, as well as 170 guests, to celebrate the US State Visit.

Kate wore a stunning white gown and Princess Diana's favourite Lover’s Knot Tiara for the occasion – the same she wore as the King and Queen of Holland visited last year – as she was seen heading out alongside her other half to the significant event hosted by The Queen.

They were seen talking to each other in the car from Kensington Palace, as they prepared to attend the lavish dinner at Buckingham Palace.

Along with members of the royal family, Trump's children Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr. Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump are set to be in attendance.

Earlier in the day, Kensington Palace had shared a glimpse of the banquet in the Buckingham Palace Ballroom.

It was captioned: “The final finishing touches will be added shortly before The Queen welcomes @POTUS, @FLOTUS, members of the Royal Family and around 170 guests to celebrate the #USStateVisit.”

The President and First Lady were given a warm welcome by the Queen and Prince Phillip earlier in the day at the grounds of Buckingham Palace.

The welcome event included a 41-gun salute and an honour guard of young Grenadiers.

The monarch also presented the President with a first edition of Sir Winston Churchill's book The Second World War, from 1959.

The couple were taken on a tour of Westminster Abbey, where they laid a wreath at the grave of the unknown warrior.
