Love Island fans beg for Shaq to win after he calls boys out for ‘misogynist’ behaviour

Love Island fans have been left begging for Shaq Muhammad to come out as the winner of the hit ITV dating programme after seeing him call out Ron Hall and other people on the show for their behaviour.

Wednesday 1 February evening's episode saw two new bombshells enter the villa and take the girls out on dates while the boys stayed behind in the South African villa.

During their time alone, Will Young, 23, couldn't help but quiz Ron, 25, on how he feels about his situation with Lana Jenkins, also 25.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm chilling," he replied, while lounging on the sun beds. "If people don't believe me when I say this is what we needed, thank f***. She'll feel the way I felt when she's grafting another fella and getting to know them and she can't say anything about it because you're both in the same predicament."

Will replied: "But I don't think Lana going into it like, 'Oh Ron's doing it so I'm going to do it,' you know what I mean? I think her intentions will be a bit different."

Powering on, Ron explained: "She needs to go and do that, she needs to go find out what kind of fella he is and then realise that I'm better, it's as simple as that."

Shaq, 24, then piped up to call Ron out on the way he's been treating Lana as he said: "When you were on a date, you and Lana were in a good place but the position you basically put yourself and put her now, she's now going to be a lot more open to Casey."

Ron simply replied that that is what she needs to do, before Shaq asked: "Do you feel like you've done anything wrong in the Lana situation?"

He replied: "The one thing I did wrong was promise something I didn't do."

"I'm just gonna give you the realness now, the way you've treated that girl is so out of order and it's a bit wrong," Shaq replied. "You've said one thing and done another. That girl has serious feelings for you and I feel like you've taken advantage of her because you know she's such a nice girl and was going to be there for you for the whole time.

"…I don't agree with how you treated her, I think what you said and what you do is two completely different things. You've said that Lana is your number one priority but you've treated that girl at any point but your number one priority.

"You've treated her like your safety net."

Agreeing with Shaq's observations, Will chimed: "It feels like you're waiting for someone to come in to be better than Lana."

Defending himself, Ron said: "All of you think I treat her as my safety net, bro, I know she could drop me like that."

But Shaq immediately hit back: "I can bet my life on it that you would not have moved the way you moved, because you know that Lana has a potential to go with other people. I'm being honest and a lot of people think it."

Fans immediately flocked to Twitter to praise Shaq for calling Ron out on his behaviour as one person wrote: "shaq is the first and only man I’ve ever seen on this show regularly and consistently call out other men for their toxic or misogynist behaviour towards women. the women in his life did good #LoveIsland".

Another posted: "I don’t even care how fast Shaq has fallen. If he keeps holding these boys accountable he and Tanya can even get engaged next week #loveisland."

"Nah give Shaq that £50k now for the fact he’s holding all these men accountable for their actions #loveisland," a third added.

Earlier this week, Shaq also had a conversation with Tom Clare, 23, over his actions. After ending things with Zara Lackenby-Brown, Tom made it known to Olivia Hawkins, 27, that he was still interested in getting to know her. But not long after this, he kissed bombshell Ellie Spence, 25.

After Olivia confronted Tom, Shaq spoke to him by the fire pit. He said: "A couple of days ago you were ending things with Zara, cool, you decided whatever. Then you said you and Liv have that history and said you lot are going to get to know each other cool.

"Then Sammie's come in and you want to get to know her and even before that Ellie's come in and you've kissed her, do you know what I'm saying?

"I'm not getting on to you but I'm laying out the facts and how it looks from their perspectives."

"I ain't got any loyalties to anyone," Tom replied.
