Love Island’s Casey and Rosie confirm they’ve split just days after leaving villa

Love Island stars Casey O'Gorman and Rosie Seabrook have split, Casey has confirmed during an Instagram Q&A with his followers.

A fan asked the TV star: "How are things with you and Rosie?" To which Casey replied: "Rosie and I have spoken… she's such a great girl.

"Life outside the villa is just very different and we will remain friends moving forward!" which he followed with a white heart emoji.

Rosie has yet to comment on the split, but yesterday shared that she was having a girls' day out with fellow ex-islander Jessie Wynter, before heading to a Chris Brown concert.

It comes after fans speculated that that the pair had already split, following an "awkward" appearance on the Love Island reunion show on Sunday night.

When Love Island host Maya Jama asked them about the state of their relationship on the reunion show, they both appeared to freeze a little before answering.

Casey said: “We got back and said to each other that we’re just gonna see family and friends for the week. It’s all a bit overwhelming when you come back so that was the plan.

“But we’ve got a date on Tuesday, so we’re looking forward to that…”

“I think there’s a lot of pressure, and we’re just not at that stage yet and we just want to take it a bit slower.”

Social media sleuths also noticed that both Casey and Rosie posted about the reunion show, but didn't post an image together, make a mention of each other or like each other's posts.

And a source close the former couple, told MailOnline: "It was clear from the moment they left the villa that Casey and Rosie weren't going to last.

"They haven't made any effort to spend time together on the outside or go on dates to truly get to know each other and they both agreed it was better to quit while they were ahead."

Rosie and Casey quickly became close in the villa, despite Casey already being coupled up with Claudia Fogarty.

After a dramatic couple of days, Casey decided to end things with a heartbroken Claudia, who had already had feelings for him and couldn't stop crying.

But while he and Rosie seemed to crack on with their connection, there were rumblings all the time that Casey was more interested in his bromances with Tom Clare and Will Young.

At one point, even Ron Hall commented that Casey often chose to spend more time with his friends than getting to know Rosie.
