Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, 30, was quizzed on the topic by Steph McGovern, 38, on her lunch time show today. The dancer said she had started to think carefully about what she posts and often shares pictures later than when they were taken.

She said: “I used to [overshare], but now I’m like, no.

“It gets a little bit dangerous now because, whether you’re somewhere [and] not telling the truth, someone will always find out.

“And they look for the trees behind you, so I don’t do that anymore. I used to, but now I’m not.”(sic)

“You’re a good girl now,” Steph laughed. “That’s what everyone thinks.”

Oti added: “I wait to post the pictures later.”

The Strictly star regularly gives fans an insight into life and career on Instagram, where she has 572,000 followers.

After the show today, she took to her Story to discuss some of the topics discussed on the programme.

Following a debate about crisp sandwiches, Oti shared a poll and asked her followers to vote for whether they are for or against having one.

So far, the result stands at 80 per cent of voters liking the snack.

“Crisps in a Marmite sandwich?” she queried. “No!”

The dancer went on to praise comedian Jack Whitehall for his “hilarious” interview on the show today.

While speaking to host Steph, he jokingly stole items from the hotel he’s been staying at.

“Possibly best interview ever,” she said. “Jack Whitehall has become one of my favourite people.”

Oti is a regular guest on the show alongside her Strictly co-star Anton Du Beke.

Both dancers have been confirmed for the new series of the show later this year.

In a recent interview, the two-time winning champion said this series might be her last.

She told The Telegraph: “I love to dance and also I love bringing joy to so many people, but I think that will be the last one.”

Oti is currently the only professional on the show who has lifted the Glitterball trophy twice.

In 2019, she won with Kelvin Fletcher followed by Bill Bailey last year.

Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays from 12.30pm on Channel 4.
