Prince Louis Copied One of Prince Harry’s Outfits for His Trooping the Colour Debut

Prince Louis made his debut at Trooping the Colour on June 8, 2019, and he totally stole the show.

From his sweet little wave, to peeking out of the window with sister Princess Charlotte, the little prince proved that he has bundles of personality. And as pointed out by Town & Country, Prince Louis’s outfit looked very familiar, mainly because it was a hand-me-down from his uncle, Prince Harry.

Way back in 1986, Prince Harry wore the embroidered shirt and blue shorts combo that Prince Louis made his Trooping the Colour debut wearing in 2019. Whether or not Louis is actually wearing Harry’s shirt is unclear, but it’s obvious that Kate wanted her son to replicate the very same look:


It’s also worth noting that Duchess Kate opted for a striking yellow ensemble, much like Princess Anne did in 1986.

Appearing alongside her husband, Prince William, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—Duchess Kate’s dress was by Alexander McQueen. Meanwhile, her hat was designed by Philip Treacy, and her earrings were a special loan from the queen:
