Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Reveals Results Of Fan Vote

Days before announcing the official class of 2020 inductees, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame revealed the results of a fan vote.

Dave Matthews Band led this year’s fan voting with 1,005,657 votes, followed by Pat Benatar, the Doobie Brothers, Soundgarden and Judas Priest.

The top five artists in the fan voting will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2020 inductees.

However, because over 1,000 ballots are expected to be cast, making the top five in the fan voting does not guarantee induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The class of 2020 inductees will be announced at 8 am ET on Wednesday, with the induction ceremony scheduled for May 2.

The other nominees include Motörhead, The Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex, Thin Lizzy, Whitney Houston, Kraftwerk, MC5, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode and Todd Rundgren.
