Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt’s Inshallah indefinitely delayed as Sanjay Leela Bhansali will ‘not go ahead for now’ | Bollywood Life

Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s collaboration after two decades for Inshallah was one of the biggest announcements of 2019. Fans were excited to see the two reunite again after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, where Salman delivered one of his best performances. And with Alia Bhatt being cast as the female lead, the excitement reached a crescendo. This was the first time that Alia Bhatt was cast opposite Salman Khan.

But with Salman’s announcement stating that the release date of Inshallah is postponed, fans were disappointed. The actor did not leave his fans with only with bad news but also assured them that they will anyway see him on Eid, 2020. The actor wrote, ” The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!!”

After this, Sanjay Leela Bhansali officially confirmed the news. Bhansali Productions tweeted that they won’t go ahead with the Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah for now. Here’s what the tweet read, ” Bhansali Productions has decided to not go ahead with In-shaa-Allah for now… Further announcement will be out soon… God willing”

The film seems to be totally on the backburner for now. We wonder what made the director take this decision. It is unclear which film will Salman Khan come up with on Eid 2020 as he has promised. It will be a long wait for fans who were already excited for Inshallah. But some trade experts have stated that the decision is a correct one. Talking about Inshallah, it is being said that Alia Bhatt will be seen portraying the role of an aspiring actress in her mid-20s and Salman Khan’s character is that of a 40-something businessman.
