Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is set in the 17th century and is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, an unsung warrior of Indian history and the military leader in the army of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire

On Tuesday, the trailer of Ajay Devgn’s highly-anticipated Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was launched and it received a thunderous response from the audience on social media. And just like us even, even megastar Salman Khan loved the promo of the film and sent all the best wishes to Ajay Devgn in his trademark and quirky style by tweeting, “Tanhaji manaji.. Ajay vijay bhava vijay bhava vijay bhava . . . @ajaydevgn”. The Singham star also thanked him for the wishes and replied, “Hi Salman Tanhaji thanks you for your good wishes & support, as do I. Vijayi bhava @BeingSalmanKhan.”

Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn are one of the closest friends of B-Town and have shared the screens together in films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and London Dreams. They also played cameos in each other’s films, which includes Ready and Son of Sardaar.

Talking about Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, it is set in the 17th century and is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, an unsung warrior of Indian history and the military leader in the army of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire. It marks the Bollywood directorial debut of Om Raut. Saif Ali Khan, who reunited with Ajay after Kachche Dhaage, LOC: Kargil and Omkara was all praises for the De De Pyaar De actor. “When both of us met each other for the first time on the sets of this film ( Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior) I thought nothing has changed much. I only felt that we have become more serious and mature. I always had a nice time working with him because he is a very generous actor. There has never been any stress on how my character will shape up. I have had the best roles in my career working with him. I think it’s really a great and special thing for me. He is a confident filmmaker and actor. I am happy and I think of him as a friend in the industry,” said Saif Ali Khan.
