Tennis star Emma Raducanu has made it back home to her family in the UK following her amazing US Open win.

Posing for a photo with her father outside their family home in Bromley, Kent, the star had just returned from a history making victory.

The 18 year old tennis star had wowed audiences as she made history by winning her first ever major final at the US open in New York.

Emma had burst onto the scene just two months ago at Wimbledon and while she ranked 361st in the world, she has now achieved one of the greatest sporting achievements of all-time.

She said to The Sun on her return: "It's a great feeling to be back home. I've been away for seven weeks so it's nice to be back.

"It's nice to see [them] again. I haven't thought about what's next. I'm just enjoying it and relaxing and recovering."

Her father added: “I am so happy. I am very proud of her.”

The placement in the finals was so ground breaking that Kate Middleton and a number of other celebrity figures wished her luck via social media as she went into the finals.

Kate tweeted: “What an incredible achievement at this year's #USOpen @EmmaRaducanu! We will all be rooting for you tomorrow. Wishing you the best of luck! C.”

The success has earned Emma a large following and sets her up to possibly become the first billionaire sportswoman as her brand grows, with paperwork trademarking Raducanu’s name being filed just hours after her win.

Chairman of Intertalent, Jonathan Shalit, has called Emma a "sponsors dream" following the win.

He said to the Daily Mail: "I already have her down to become the first US$100 million British female sports star.

"And if she continues on her current trajectory, she will be worth US$1 billion and be the biggest female sports star in the world."

The win makes Emma the first British woman to reach the US open finals since Virgina Wade in 1968 and the first British woman to win a Grand Slam final in 44 years.

The amazing road up to the final even had Virginia Wade herself weighing in on the discussion.

Speaking on the BBC’s Today ahead of the final match, she said: “She withstood everything and it seems Emma just seems to reduce her opponents to nothing, it's incredible.

“She's so consistent herself and she keeps coming up with answers and she serves so well and she just completely negates their games.”
