‘The Witcher’ Will Finally Release a Season 1 Soundtrack

The Witcher may have hit your Netflix screens in December, but even if you watched all eight episodes of Geralt of Rivia’s adventures in a single sitting, you’ll have a way to relive the fun on Friday. Netflix is releasing an official soundtrack, titled The Witcher Soundtrack Vol. 1, everywhere on January 24, of course featuring the smash viral hit “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher.”

The show, based on the polish book series of the same name, hit Netflix on December 20th and was a huge success with fans. Earlier this week, Netflix revealed that the first season of The Witcher was the streaming giant’s most-watched first season of a show ever.

The show stars Superman of the past (and possibly present and future?), Henry Cavill, who plays a monster hunter named Geralt of Rivia. Balancing multiple timelines and characters in its first season, the show came together in the back end, really setting the stage for what should be a thrilling second season.

Actor Joey Batey played Jaskier the Bard, who provided much of the music (“It’s the most annoying thing I’ve ever heard,” he says of “Toss a Coin.” ” It’s so catchy.”) and comic relief to the show’s first season. He’d previously sang in bands and recorded his own music, and also said that he based his performance in The Witcher not on similar shows like Game of Thrones, but on comedies like The Office and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

“There’s quite a lot of Michael Scott in Jaskier, I’m not going to lie,” Batey told Men’s Health in an interview. “The guy who means well, but generally gets stuff wrong fairly commonly. They have quite a lot in common”
