Vadodara to Dallas: Lord Ganesha Arrives

Rediff readers from across the world have been sending us interesting photographs of Ganeshotsav celebrations.
You can share yours too!

Yogendrakumar Pandya sent us this adorable photograph of happy children welcoming Lord Ganesha at the Madupuri society in Dahanukarwadi, Kandivali west, north west Mumbai.

Sanjay J Bhosle from Vadodara says: ‘We have been celebrating the festival for seven years now. This is our eco friendly Ganesha made from shadu mati (natural clay).’

Sanjay from the USA shared this picture of his Ganesh Rath Yatra celebrations.

Sharing this photograph, Aaryan Tendulkar from Mumbai says: ‘Continuing the tradition of eco-friendly celebrations for 12 years in a row we welcomed Ganpati at our home. Doing the pooja and seeking the blessings of Lord Almighty is a surreal experience.

‘The movement of friends and relatives may be restricted during this unprecedented time, but the festival reminds us that good will always win over bad times and soon we will be all together to celebrate the way it is meant to be!’

Anita and Ashish welcomed Ganesha into their homes in Dallas, Texas, USA.

The couple sent us a photograph and wrote: “My daughters Aarna and Aarika get super excited with Ganesh Chaturthi and are very involved right from picking up the Ganesha idol to all the decoration and festivities. Ganapati Bappa Morya.”
