After YSR, Naidu, Jagan did Sankusthapana Again!

The decades old pending Kadapa steel plant will go for foundation today. AP CM YS Jagan will do the honours at Sunnapurallapalli village of Jammalamadugu constituency. This is for the third time that the foundation stone is going to be laid for Kadapa steel factory. Earlier late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and lastly it was TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu who did the ‘Sankusthapana’ but sadly the works did not begin.

Kadapa steel plant is YSR’s dream and so Jagan has initiated to set up this factory in just six months after taking the CM’s office. For the factory, the state government has pooled 3,275.66 acres of land and the investment of this project is Rs 15,000 crore. Post completion, the steel plant is likely to manufacture 30 lakh tons a year.

The YSRCP government has allotted Rs 250 crore for this project for the year 2019-2020. CM Jagan wants this project to be completed by three years which aims to provide employment for over 20,000 youth. Also the state government has brought in a law that promises to employment for 75 percent of the locals.
