Doubts over Governor praising TRS projects

It shows TRS-BJP nexus: Revanth

Working president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee and Malkajgiri MP A. Revanth Reddy expressed shock at Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan praising the Kaleshwaram project just two days after assuming office even as State BJP president K. Laxman and others are attacking Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao over the redesign and “corruption”.

In a statement here, Mr. Reddy wondered why Mr. Laxman was silent when the Governor, chosen by the BJP-led Central government, was giving such a contradictory statement on the new projects in Telangana. He pointed out that the Governor was the Tamil Nadu State BJP president till a few days ago.

“This reflects the nexus between the BJP and the TRS, which the Congress has been saying all along,” he said asking whether Mr. Laxman has the guts to counter. The MP said the BJP itself has been making allegations on the ‘scams’ and ‘commissions’ in government projects and posed itself as the alternative to TRS in the State. If the Telangana BJP was sincere in its criticism of the ruling party, it should have either condemned the Governor’s views or at least lodged a complaint with their national leadership by now. Their sincerity is also questionable as they have not asked the Central government to probe into the allegations made by them against Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Mr. Reddy asked the BJP to stop misleading the people by putting up a ‘fake’ fight against the TRS and acknowledge their friendship openly rather than deceiving people.
