KCR is to be blamed for RTC strike: Jeevan

Is it enough if the Chief Minister’s daughter alone plays Bathukamma, questions senior Cong. leader

Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is responsible for TSRTC employees strike, besides causing umpteen problems to the commuters on the occasion of Bathukamma and Dasara festival.

The Congress party team lead by the MLC, TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar and others extended solidarity to the striking RTC employees by visiting their RTC bus station complex in Karimnagar town on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jeevan Reddy blamed the Chief Minister for not showing any concern for commuters during the festival season.

Is it enough if the Chief Minister’s daughter alone plays Bathukamma. Don’t people want to celebrate the festival? he asked. Stating that the Chief Minister would definitely face the wrath of the RTC employees, he lamented that he is playing with the fire. TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar alleged that the Chief Minister neglected the corporation. Alleging that Mr. Rao is acting as an autocrat, he said that the Chief Minister only gives orders from his palatial bungalow, which was constructed from the tax-payers money. He flayed the State government for harassing and forcing the RTC employees not to celebrate Bathukamma and Dasara festivals. He said that the ‘sakula janula’ (peoples strike) had again begun in the State due to adamant and negligent attitude of the government.
