Panel on engg. works gets more time

The government has extended time for the eight-member expert committee set up to examine the projects and works taken up in the engineering departments for the sake of transparency and preventing corruption, up to September 30 for submitting its report.

As per G.O. RT No. 404 issued on behalf of the Special Chief Secretary (Water Resources) Aditya Nath Das on Monday, the chief technical examiner of the Water Resources Department, who is the convener of the committee, asked for the time to be extended. Accordingly, the government allowed the panel to complete its review and give its report by the above date.
