Railways to run Deepavali special trains

The South Western Railway has decided to operate Suvidha Special trains between Bengaluru and Mangaluru during the Deepavali festival.

A release from South Western Railway and Southern Railway here said that two each services would be operated during the period.

Train No 82665 KSR Bengaluru-Karwar Suvidha Special will leave Bengaluru at 11.55 p.m. on October 25 and 28 to reach Karwar at 3.30 p.m. the next day via Shravanabelagola and Hassan. It would leave Mangaluru Junction at 10.10 a.m., Udupi at 11.36 a.m., Kundapur at 12.10 p.m. and Bhatkal at 1.12 p.m.

Train No 82666 Karwar-Yelahanka Suvidha Special will leave Karwar at 4 p.m. on October 26 and 29, Bhatkal at 6.22 p.m., Kundapur at 7.30 p.m., Udupi at 8.22 p.m. and Mangaluru Junction at 10.15 p.m. to reach Yelahanka at 8 a.m. the next morning via Yeshwantpur bypass.

The trains will have halts at Chikkabanavara, Kunigal, Shravanabelagola, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabaka Puttur, Bantwal, Mangaluru Junction, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Kundapur, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road and Ankola.

They would have one 3-Tier AC coach, 12 Second Class Sleeper coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
