Republic Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan, Governor Tamilisai honors Keeravani

Today on the occasion of Republic day, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan unfurled the national flag at the Raj Bhavan. Governor Tamilisai felicitated eminent persons from various fields on this occasion. On behalf of the state government, Chief Secretary Shanthikumari, DGP Anjanikumar and others participated in Republic day celebration. Governor Tamilisai Soundarrajan felicitated eminent persons from various fields as part of these celebrations. Noted music director MM Keeravani, film lyricist Chandra Bose, NGO Bhagavan Mahaveer Vikalanga Sahayatha Samiti, para athlete Kudumula Lokeshwari, table tennis player Akula Sreeja and civils trainer Balalatha were honored by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. They were felicitated with a shawl and given a certificate of appreciation and a memento. 

As Akula Sreeja could not come, her parents received a letter of appreciation from the Governor. Meanwhile, the governor got down from the stage and came to where the civils trainer was honoring Balalata. Later, Keeravani interacted with media and said  that this achievement is not his alone. He claimed that it was the victory of all his supporters.

It is known that Keeravani has got international recognition along with Naatu Naatu in RRR film.  This song won the famous Golden Globe award. While Chandra Bose has pennedthe lyrics for this song, Rahul Sipliganj and Kalabhairava crooned it. Recently this song was nominated for Oscar in the Best Original Song category.
