#ThreeCapitals In Court: Jagan Govt Ropes Expensive Lawyer

Last evening, 37 farmers of Amaravati have filed a writ petition in the AP High Court urging the court to stall the YSRCP government’s steps to change the capital. This petition came for hearing on Wednesday and advocate on behalf of farmers argued that the YCP government is taking one-sided decisions without even bothering about the farmers.

The advocate on behalf of state government argued that the bill still needs to get approval from the Legislative council. Hearing the arguments from both the sides, the High Court has put-off the case to tomorrow.

In order to have a strong voice in the court, the YSRCP government has roped in former Attorney General of India, Mukul Rohatgi. He is one of the most expensive advocates in the country and so government has released an advance of Rs 1 crore for Rohatgi. A G.O. regarding the same was issued short while ago from the secretariat.

CM Jagan is said to be in no mood to go back on the ‘Three Capitals’ and so he did not hesitate to bring such a reputed lawyer all the way from Delhi.
