Woman injured on go-karting track

An outing at a club on Sunday evening took a turn for the worse for a 31-year-old homemaker who sustained a head injury while she was go-karting. The victim, Pushpalatha, 31, lives in B. Narayanapura. She had gone to the sports club with her husband.

“While on her second lap on the go-karting circuit, her helmet came off. Her hair got entangled in the rear wheel of the vehicle. She sustained severe injuries to her scalp,” said a police officer.

Staff took her to a private hospital from where she was shifted to Sakra World Hospital. The woman approached the police and lodged a complaint alleging negligence on the part of a supervisor at the club.

Based on her complaint, the HAL police have taken up a case under Section 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).
