After Jersey, Shahid Kapoor to collaborate with Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan for Yoddha?

Shahid Kapoor has become one of the bankable actors Bollywood post the humongous success of Kabir Singh, which collected over Rs 275 crore at the box office. While the actor will be next seen in Jersey, Shasha has reportedly signed his next with Dhadak helmer Shashant Khaitan for an action film titled Yoddha. As per the PinkVilla report, a source close to the development said, “Karan and Shahid were planning to do a film together for sometime. But they weren’t getting the right script. There was a major talk about Shahid stepping into the shoes of Brigadier Farookh Bullsara for a film based on Maldives Mission. But now, the producer has locked Shahid for Shashank Khaitan’s next which is also an action film. It’s titled Yoddha and Shahid has already signed on the dotted line for the same. Shoot is expected to begin sometime early next year, after Shahid wraps up Jersey.” Apparently, the official announcement of the film is expected to happen soon.

Talking about Jersey, Shahid Kapoor recently said, “It took me some time to decide what to do next after ‘Kabir Singh’. But the minute I saw ‘Jersey, I knew I wanted it to be my next. It’s a wonderful, inspiring, and personal human journey that I connected with deeply.” While the shooting of the film is 70 per cent completed, the rest of the filming will be completed once the coronavirus crisis settles down. The sports drama is directed by Gowtham Tinnanauri and produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju. The film also features Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in key roles. The film originally starred Nani, Sathyaraj and Shradhha Srinath in the lead roles. So, are you excited for the film? Tweet and let us know @bollywood_life.
