Hema Malini doesn’t regret not spending enough time with Dharmendra post marriage

There’s no denying that Hema Malini and Dharmendra were one of the most popular onscreen couples during the 70s. They have worked together in several movies such as Sholay, Dream Girl, Seeta Aur Geeta, Dillagi and others. They eventually fell in love with each other and got married on May 2, 1980. Together, they have two daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

However, after their marriage, the couple didn’t get enough time to spend with each other probably because of their busy work schedules. The two were the top superstars between 70s and 80s. But Hema says whatever time they have spend together has been precious adding that she doesn’t like to squander her time complaining when she is with her loved ones.

When Hema was asked what she would like to change about her life, she told Spotboye, “I don’t think I want to change anything. I didn’t get enough time to spend with Dharam ji since marriage. But that’s okay. Whatever time we have together is precious. And I make it a point not to crib. Yeh kyon nahin kiya, woh kyon nahin kiya (Why did you not do this or that)…Why are you late?… I don’t squander my time with my loved ones complaining.”

On October 16, Hema turned 72 and her daughter Esha wrote a heartwarming note to wish her mother on her special day. “Happy birthday mamma . God bless you, stay happy & healthy. Love u my super woman , my tinkerbell … my beautiful mother! @dreamgirlhemamalini,” she wrote.
