Surekha Sikri NOT in need of financial aid, reveals manager as Badhaai Ho director, Gajraj Rao and Sonu Sood extend helping hand

Veteran actress Surekha Sikri suffered a brain stroke. She was admitted to the ICU of Juhu’s Criticare Hospital. This is the second time, she is suffering from a brain stroke. In 2018, she had a stroke when she was shooting for a TV show in Mahabaleshwar. Now, after a day she was admitted, Surekha Sikri is still under close observation in the intensive care unit (ICU). After the news about her health had spread, it was also reported that her family was in need of financial aid following the nurse’s statements that the actor could not be admitted in any other hospital due to the exorbitant fees. Post this, many of Surekha Sikri’s well-wishers, colleagues including Sonu Sood, Badhaai Ho director Amit Ravindernath Sharma, and co-actor Gajraj Rao had come forward to help the veteran actress financially. However, Surekha Sikri’s manager Vivek Sidhwani cleared the air that Surekha Sikri is not in need of financial aid. In an interview with Midday, he spoke about the same.

He said, “That was incorrectly put out in the press. Surekhaji has her own finances and the family, including her son, is by her side. There is no need for financial assistance for now.” Vivek also spoke about Sonu Sood, Gajraj Rao and Amit Sharma. He said, “Many of her well-wishers, colleagues and filmmakers were kind enough to offer financial assistance. They have been informed that the family is taking care of everything and giving her the best possible treatment. We would like to acknowledge everyone who reached out to us.” The veteran actress is known for her role in Balika Vadhu. She had impressed us all with her performance and people still remember her as Dadisa. She also gave a brilliant performance in Badhai Ho and won her third National Award last year for the film.

Surekha Sikri was last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s segment in the Netflix anthology, Ghost Stories.
