Fans of Turner & Hooch might not be getting any more episodes…
The Disney+ show starring Josh Peck is a sequel series to the 1989 Tom Hanks movie, that follows an ambitious, buttoned-up US Marshal who inherits a big unruly dog, and soon realizes the dog he didn’t want may be the partner he needs.
Josh‘s Scott Turner is the son to Tom Hanks‘ Detective Scott Turner.
Also starring in the show are Lyndsy Fonseca, Anthony Ruvivar, Brandon Jay McLaren, Vanessa Lengies, Jeremy Maguire and Carra Patterson, plus Becca Tobin and Reginald VelJohnson.
While the first season has come to an end, there’s recently been some not so great news regarding the possibility of a second season.

Earlier this month, ComicBook.com reported that the show has been canceled after one season, while Reginald VelJohnson told the site that it’s not likely to be renewed.
“Well, as far as I know, they’re trying to sell it to another network or something like that. That’s what I heard,” he shared. “But as of now, it’s not going to be picked up, I don’t think. It was fun to do. And working with the actors was great fun and I hope so, whatever they decided to do I’m with it. It’s okay. I enjoy doing the sequel and, hopefully, we’ll have some time to do it again. But if not, I was glad for the experience.”
Brandon Jay McLaren also tweeted to a fan not to expect a second season.
“Don’t hold your breath,” he quote tweeted a fan. “You’ll die.”
While both of the actors have spoken out, we haven’t seen any other official confirmation that the series will not move forward with a second season.
In the meantime, you can still see Josh Peck on TV in the upcoming How I Met Your Father on Hulu, and on the upcoming second season of iCarly!
